Vineyard
Their Coombsville vineyard has unique volcanic and loam soils, as well as elevation, and maturity variations. Comprised of grapes from 30-year-old and 9-year-old vines, providing distinctive complexity. 2019 was an exceptional vintage.
Winemaking
The fruit was harvested by hand, carefully destemmed, then sorted and gently crushed into small fermenting tanks for 12 days, with an additional time on the skins to maximize the extractions of aromas, flavors and tannins. The wine was aged for 30 months in oak barrels in 2/3 new French oak and 1/3 neutral barrels for 30 months.
