At this time some Upper Midwest orders are being held due to extreme cold weather conditions, and are scheduled to ship when the weather improves.
During winter and summer months Midwest, Northeast & Southeast orders are shipped via Temperature Controlled Truck ensuring that your wine arrives safely to you.
In rare cases we may elect to hold the wine for optimal shipping temperatures.
If needed during the warmer months, we'll include Ice Gel Packs. You will receive tracking information via email when your order is in your area. Best of all, it's FREE. There is no addition charge for the special shipping of your wine.
If we elect to send your wine via Third Party Shipping (Temp Control, or Refrigerated Ground), orders are shipped each Friday. Tracking is uploaded to your account the following Monday, but does not show any activity until scanned at your state's area hub. Once your package is scanned, the tracking link will start to show activity and provide you with an accurate ETA. Delivery is then made within a day or two depending on your distance from the area hub.
Ground Shipping is generally 2-5 days.
Please allow 7-10 days for temperature control shipping.
We ship wine from our facilities located in Napa, Sonoma & Santa Maria.
Deliveries to CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA ship via UPS (United Parcel Service).
Deliveries to all other allowed states ship via UPS or FedEx upon request.
An ADULT SIGNATURE IS REQUIRED. Make sure that an authorized person of at least 21 will be available to sign for your wine order.
It is highly recommended that you ship your wine order to a
BUSINESS ADDRESS to assure timely delivery and to avoid any delays.
If your wine is received on the first attempt by the courier, we guarantee that it will arrive in good condition and drinkable upon delivery. If there is any problem with your order, or if you need to return an order, please contact us directly for a return authorization. We will not accept a return without a return authorization first.
We only ship to the states available in our shopping cart. Be aware that we don't ship to certain states. If you reside in one of these states, you probably all ready know this.
Order (6) bottles or more we will pay for the shipping (offer does not include Hawaii and Alaska.) For orders less than (6) bottles, we only charge our actual cost for shipping wine to you.

Many states don't allow shipping and Wine Heist may not be able to deliver wine to you. If you live in any of the restricted states, please be patient. We may be delivering wine when available to us. If you would like an update on the status of these states please visit the wineinstitute.org.
WineHeist can only ship wine to states that permit direct shipment from California. We determine your shipping status during checkout by verifying your ZIP Code and your state. We also, automatically calculate your shipping costs and appropriate state sales and excise taxes from your ZIP Code.
You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase wine from WineHeist. All packages sent out by WineHeist REQUIRE an adult signature upon delivery. It is highly recommended that you provide us with a business shipping address for best service.
How long does it take to get your order? In normal weather conditions 2-7 days. In cold or hot weather conditions to the mid West and East coast, temperature control shipping can take up to 14 days.
Orders are shipped on Monday. WineHeist uses UPS ground for most of its shipping. If you live in CA, AZ, NV, sometimes we work with GLS "General Logistics Systems" shipping for faster service. Upon request can also send your package via FEDEX ground.
You will receive an email containing tracking information once your order is boxed and ready for shipment. Please note, these tracking numbers will not be active until they are scanned by the driver.
Sometimes, bad weather may prevent us from sending your order. We want your wine to arrive in the best possilbe condition. Heat and cold may damage the shipment. Should we feel that poor weather may effect your delivery, we will inform you of any delays before we ship. In these cases we will typically hold your shipment until the weather is better and it's safe to ship your wine.
WineHeist.com is providing a service to, and acting on behalf of the purchaser. By utilizing this service from WINEHEIST, the purchaser is representing that he/she is acting in a fashion compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that the purchaser is 21 years of age.
TITLE OF ALL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES PURCHASED FROM WINEHEIST PASS DIRECTLY TO THE BUYER. In all cases, the purchaser is responsible for complying with the laws and regulations, including in particular those relating to the import of alcohol, in effect in the state to which the purchaser is shipping alcohol.
WINEHEIST makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state outside of California. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcoholic beverage products. By placing an order with WINEHEIST, buyer authorizes WINEHEIST to act on buyer's behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver buyer’s order.

If the wine is bad we will refund your purchase, including shipping. You must call for an authorization pickup number before sending any wine back to our warehouse! Please note UNLESS THE WINE IS BAD OR DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING YOU CANNOT RETURN YOUR PURCHASE. This a one time offer. Note: All website sales are final. We cannot replace the wine, only refund the purchase if the wine is damaged.
Sometimes in a WineHeist we can have a bad bottle. If for any reason you feel the wine is not good, you need to obtain a return authorization number. To get this number, click on Contact Us at the bottom of the page or the About Us page. In the comments box please give us your name, address, invoice number as well as a phone number and time we can reach you and we will email you with a return authorization number within 24 hours.
WineHeist will arrange to have the package picked up and returned to us right away for inspection. Once the package is returned to us, we will inspect the contents. If the wine is indeed bad. We will refund the damaged wine you purchased. Please note that we cannot send you another package. All wine sold is guaranteed to be good.
Any problems with the receipt of your package must be emailed in to us within 10 days of the delivery date. If you suspect the bottle is bad, please just put the cork back in the wine all the way leaving the contents of the wine in the bottle for further inspection. Once we have confirmed the wine is damaged or corked, it may be returned to our fulfillment center located at:

If your wine is not received, refused, or returned to our fulfillment center improperly, you will be charged a restocking fee to cover the return shipping cost.
