Dark crimson hue, and gracious from the moment it hits the glass. Sultry aromas of ripe red fruits, fresh currants, cranberries and blueberry cobbler interlaced with hints of fresh earth, mint, allspice, and cigar box. Flavors of ripe raspberry, dark cherry, blueberry and cassis enhanced with underlying hints of black trumpet mushroom, lavender, dried cherry, as well as oak-infused notes of mocha, cardamom and smoked cedar on the finish. Elegant and complex, with a smooth, velvety texture, supple tannins. Perfectly aged. Outstanding!
This wine very approachable now, and has plenty of depth, structure, and complexity to lay down for another 5-8 years.
Only a couple hundred cases EVER MADE and we have just enough to share with you today. While it lasts!
Food pairings include hard cheeses, charcuterie, lamb sliders, risotto with wild mushrooms, pan-seared duck with cherry sauce, slow-roasted prime rib, chocolate truffle.

Andrew Cain wines were founded by brothers, Jason “Andrew” Hooten and Jonathan “Cain” Hooten. Born and raised in Napa, CA, both brothers have worked in the Wine, Spirits, and Beer industry for a combined 55+ years. Andrew Cain is the first project the two brothers have teamed up since their careers and businesses started.
Sustainable farmed grapes in Oakville and Mt. Veeder were grown organically, and the wines are inspired by the land they come from. No fruit and oak bombs, but rather a dryer and more terroir driven style, refined by an incredible balance of acid, fruit, and tannins. Handcrafted from vine to bottle, Andrew Cain wines are rich in complexity and nuance driven by the unique characteristics of the fruit and site from which they come.
