Winemaking
The 2021 Sojourn wines offer exceptional overall quality and show wonderful depth, intensity and balance. The Rosé of Pinot noir was harvested at night and is a blend of saignée and pressed wine. The juice was fermented at low temperatures to maintain delicate aromatics and fresh fruit character.
Vineyards
This wine is a blend of Pinot noir from six unique Sonoma Coast vineyards ranging from Occidental to the Petaluma Gap. Gap’s Crown, Sangiacomo, Silver Eagle and Walala Vineyards represent key components used to produce this Rosé.
Vintage
The 2021 harvest period brought relief in a few different ways. The air remained clear with no fires in Sonoma or Napa Counties. A brief heat waves in August and September ripened the grapes to optimal maturity as the weather stayed dry until major rains arrived starting October 22. Yields were lower than average in 2021 resulting in deeper, concentrated wines.

Opens up with an aromatic burst of black cherry jam, wild huckleberry, and a hint of crushed espresso bean. On the palate, the fruit is lush and primary, but it's the secondary notes—toasted nutmeg, dark chocolate truffle, and the signature 'Dry Creek Dust'—that provide a long, savory finish.
