Juicy blackberries and black cherries accented by mint and chocolate.  Full-bodied, deeply colored, with a hint of white pepper, dried herbs and toasted bread.  Delivers a substantial mid-palate of dark fruits, black tea, baked cherry, fruit preserves and licorice.  Sophisticated and sumptuous.  Notes of toast and oak, with integrated tannins and textural polish on the finish.  A great example of the varietal, brooding with depth and complexity.

This wine is full of incredible aromatics, complex flavors and deep color.  We are thrilled with this bottle.

Several years of drought and low yields concentrated the intricacies on the palate, resulting in something we can only describe as profound. This vintage, and the wine's aging, has shown quality evolution over time and will continue to improve in the bottle. Enjoy now through 2032.

Pair with anything from the meat aisle, from Beef Lasagne, Moroccan Beef Stew, Polenta with Sausage, Drunken Steak with Shiitake Mushrooms and more.

VARIETAL

Petite Sirah is loved for its extraordinary deep color and full-bodied flavors of blueberry, chocolate, plums and black pepper. Despite its popularity, Petite Sirah is an exceptionally rare grape, with very little planted worldwide.  Grown mainly in California, it's great for adding depth and richness to Zinfandel and other varietals, on its own if offers up powerful fruit and a complex spice profile.

ESTATE VINEYARDS

Located just south of Healdsburg, Foppiano Vineyards sits on 160 acres in the acclaimed Russian River Valley. Cool morning fog and warm summer days create an ideal microclimate for grape growing. The Foppiano family has been producing world class fruit on this land since its purchase in 1896. Today, the vineyards are planted to Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Sauvignon Blanc on the warmer bench lands, and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the cooler land close to the Russian River.
