2021 Cosa Obra Rose of Pinot Noir

Cosa Obra
2021 Rosé
, Sonoma County

Light pink in color with aromas of watermelon, cranberry, orange rind, and fresh spring flowers that leap from the glass. The palate offers peach, strawberry, and melon, with an intriguing note of fresh herb and pomegranate.  Packed with fruit and finishes dry.  Grab a box and splash it around!

Winemaking
Harvested from 100% Pinot Noir from Sonoma County.  Made in a Saignée method which captures the essence of the fruit just after harvest.  Fermented in neutral barrels, allowing this delicate grape to express its unique character.

Temperature
Serve rosé chilled between 45° and 50°F.  Chill down for 2–3 hours, or put it in an ice bucket with ice and water at the table.

Glassware
Use a large stemmed glass with a short bowl and slight taper, and fill it to about one-third of its capacity and give it a swirl.

Enjoyment
Rosé is great solo by the glass and pairs well with many foods, including spicy dishes, savory sweet combinations, as well as spicy fish tacos, BBQ, or salads with jalapeño.

More About Cosa Obra

Montagu
2024 Pinot Noir, Charles Heintz Vineyard
Sonoma Coast

95 Points
Displays a bright ruby hue. The nose reveals red cherries, bright red berries, subtle spring florals, and pie spices. On the palate, cherry cola, black tea, and liquid saline/minerals dominate, backed by vibrant, fresh acidity. It remains clean and elegant, with a young, firm structure and satiny tannin grip that suggests a decade of positive evolution in the cellar. A solid, well-made effort from this world class vineyard.
