2019 Maroon Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley

Maroon
2019 Sauvignon Blanc
, Napa Valley

Crisp, invigorating, and fantastic grapefruit zestiness... If you've got the grill on, throw on some marinated chicken and fill up another glass. Hope you get some! While it lasts.

Tropical & fresh with aromas with peach and passion fruit, balanced with citrus, loads of lime and grapefruit, and hints of green apple. The palate offers more citrus and tropical flavors with a nice beam of acidity throughout.

The location of this Sauvignon Blanc vineyard experiences a nice warm temperature during the day, which allows the grapes to ripen, providing the bright tones on the nose and the palate.  At night, the vineyard cools off dramatically, preserving the natural acidity, and contributing to the freshness of this varietal.

The grapes are hand harvested, and the juice was cold-fermented in neutral oak barrels, which allows the fermentation to 'breathe', an important component for aromatic and texture development. The finished wine was aged in the same barrel for six months prior to bottling.
