Ferrington Vineyard
First planted in 1969 and owned by Kurt Schoeneman since 1996, the 70 acre Ferrington Vineyard is well established as the benchmark in the Anderson Valley. Located just outside the town of Boonville, the vineyard soils are made up of decomposed sandstone, clay and rock and planted to mostly Chardonnay and Pinot noir.

Anderson Valley Chardonnay is generally considered great, with many specific examples receiving high praise for being balanced, crisp, and fruit-forward. Key characteristics include racy acidity, a full body, and a complex profile with notes of citrus, pear, melon, and sometimes hints of oak and vanilla.
