Vintage
The 2019 vintage proved to be another phenomenal year. While we encountered some significant storms coupled with high winds through bloom, in the end we emerged unscathed. While the 2019 season was generally cooler than 2018, we maintained our historical average with respect to degree-days due to lower temperature fluctuation. The consistency of weather through the growing season produced an exceptionally balanced and expressive vintage.
Winemaking
The Reynoso Family Vineyards 2019 Red Wine is 100% Estate Grown and consists of 60.2% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22.7% Merlot, 10.1% Petit Verdot, and 7% Syrah. Fully hand-picked and sorted, the grapes were crushed and destemmed to tank for a 5-day cold soak. On-skin fermentation ranged from 20-33 days with punchdowns 3 times daily descending as fermentation progressed. The final blend was transferred to 50% new French oak barrels in November for a 20-month aging process before bottling on 12 July 2021.

Lofty aromas of ripe red fruits layered with notes of crushed violets, berry cobbler, cherry and creme brulee leading into crushed blackberry with cassis, mocha, leather, mineral, and baking spice. Its all encompassing and bold mouthfeel are outstanding, as deep tannins dance around the palate, finishing with flavors of blackberry, fig, and pipe tobacco.
Exceptional
Aromas of bright oak, essence of lilac, toasted brioche and sage delight your senses. Flavors are just as complex with hints of soft melted butter, quince, fig, and a touch of lavender that titillate your taste buds. Its delightful texture is balanced by great acidity, leading to a long satisfying finish. Truly a chardonnay lovers top pick.

Dark ruby red in the glass, and good swirl on the nose offers generous aromatics of cassis, black cherry and spice. Generously oaked, with crushed blackberry, baked plums, baking spices, and Turkish fig. A supple body, gives way to red and dark fruit like plum, blueberry compote, prune, with anise and light spice on the finish.
