Beautifully made wine from 34-year old vines. Plush but balanced, a wonderful mix of fully ripened red berry, cherry, currant and rose with a perfect dash of spice from French oak that adds a well-rounded texture, with a long and soft sensuous finish. So very good, and enjoyable at this astonishing price.
Deep dark red with a rich translucent core. Viscous legs adhere high up on the glass, while ruby color bands glide down amid a swirl. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, red currant, spice, and elegantly toasted oak. The palate offers more bold fruit, eventually mellowing as soft tannins take hold, encouraging you to enjoy another juicy sip.
Pair with any of your favorites, including grilled meats, pork, fish, appetizer of courses, and more... like a generous plate served with sauteed meatballs in wine sauce. Oh Yeah!
