96 Points - Chris Sawyer "Sommelier to the Stars"

Opens up with alluring aromas of red and black fruits with notes of roasted espresso, mocha, leather, mineral, sage, savory spice, and cedar fill your glass.  The palate is ripe, elegant, and juicy.  Lush flavors of black cherry, pomegranate, raspberry, ripe plum, and black currant.  Hints of chocolate and toasted walnuts add depth and complexity, while the silky texture and supple tannins coat the palate on route to a long, generous finish.

Atlas Peak, Howell Mountain and Mount Veeder fruit, with Napa Valley character in each sip.  A gem for the price!  Will develop even more silkiness when aged to perfection.  Ready to drink now, and will easily cellar for another 7-10 years, if you can wait that long.

2022 Zinfandel, Dry Creek Valley
Sonoma County

94 Points
Opens up with an aromatic burst of black cherry jam, wild huckleberry, and a hint of crushed espresso bean.  On the palate, the fruit is lush and primary, but it's the secondary notes—toasted nutmeg, dark chocolate truffle, and the signature 'Dry Creek Dust'—that provide a long, savory finish.
