Pairs with anything from the meat aisle, from barbecue pork ribs, leg of lamb or big, hearty meals. Always a winner.
Zinfandel is often called “California’s Grape,” and despite the fact that it has been genetically traced to Croatia, it certainly seems to show best all over the Golden State. Today’s offering comes from Frank Family Vineyards in Napa Valley, a region certainly more well known for its Cabernet. Napa’s climate is also wonderful for growing Zinfandel. Warm sunny days lead to well ripened Zinfandel grapes that tend to show more of Zin’s jammy side.
VINEYARDS
This Napa Valley-designate wine is cultivated from our estate vineyards in Chiles Valley and Rutherford and from neighboring vineyards in St. Helena and Calistoga. Frank Family’s S&J Vineyard comprises 206 acres of land located east of the Vaca mountain range in Napa’s Capell Valley. It is planted to 58 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, along with 9 acres of Petite Sirah, and 9 acres of Zinfandel. The soils are fertile, well-draining and clay loam-based, reminiscent of the Rutherford Bench. Frank Family’s newest vineyard, acquired in 2012, Benjamin Vineyard is located east of Conn Creek Road in the heart of Rutherford AVA. This vineyard comprises 50 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 8 acres of Petite Verdot, and 2 acres of Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. The site is anchored by gravely loam soil as a result of sediment from the nearby Conn Creek and Napa River.

Deep, rich and generous, with a deep purple hue. Aromas of crushed violets, ripe berries, blueberry pop-tarts, black currant, licorice, chocolate-coated espresso beans, allspice, and cedar box. Full-bodied with a plush, velvety texture.
Polished with a very modern feel - think rich, concentrated, intense, deep and very long, with tons of sexy black fruit, and just the right touch of French oak. This stuff ROCKS for the price!

Inviting aromas of blackberries and blackcurrants woven together with baking spices, graphite, cocoa powder, anise and hints of mineral which all burst from the glass. The palate possesses a gorgeous full body that is round and voluptuous. Continues to impress as it displays excellent depth and finish.
Harmonious aromas of apple, pear and melon blending perfectly with spicy hints of oak. Rich flavors of lemon crème brulee, crisp apple and white peach round out the backdrop to complete this delicious Russian River Valley Chardonnay.
Tropical & Fresh...
Aromas with peach and passion fruit, balanced with citrus tones of lime and grapefruit, and hints of green apple. The palate offers citrus and tropical flavors with a nice beam of acidity throughout.
This bottling builds upon the Rutherford terroir with loads of red fruit, warm oak with notes of vanilla, anise and cedar. Deep, dark chocolate covered raspberries, Morello cherry, and clove balanced by fine tannins and acidity.
Earthy notes of cherry bark, black raspberry, and cola nut, with touches of sweet clove and orange zest. Fresh pomegranate juice with herbaceous notes of spearmint, evergreen and a subtle hint of lemon verbena, flanked by racy acidity, refined tannins and a subtle salinity.
New Release!
Aromas of dark cherry, spice, and tobacco. A full mid palate with flavors of black cherry, blueberry-pomegranate and cherry cola, spice, and adorned with toasty French oak in the background. Well rounded, integrated tannins, texturally appealing with a soft sleek mouthfeel.
