Light pink in color, with watermelon, cranberry, orange rind, and fresh springs flower aromas on the nose. The palate is loaded with peach, strawberry, and melon flavors, with an intriguing note of fresh basil and pomegranate sneaking through. Though packed with fruit, this Rosé finishes dry, with bright acidity and just a hint of tannin from the small period of contact with the grape skins.
The Sangiacomo Family is known for with high-end Pinot Noir in Sonoma County, and many wineries throughout the county, state source their fruit to make exceptional wines.
The 2014 Rosé of Pinot Noir is composed of 100% Pommard Pinot Noir from Sangiacomo Vineyard. They chose a Saignée method to capture the essence of the Pinot Noir and fermented in neutral barrels allowing the fruit to fully express its character.
