With fruit grown at the foothills of Mount St. Helena, just above the town of Calistoga, this exceptional limited production Napa Cabernet shows complex classic black cherry, cassis, tobacco, leather and mocha notes. Blended with 8% Petit Verdot from a Certified Organic vineyard in Yountville, this wine comes together beautifully, adding a subtle violet-like component with fresh herbs and a luscious and lengthy finish.
The 2012 Michael-Scott Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon displays a dense garnet color, whith a tinge maroon on the edge of the glass. This leads into aromas of soft leather, tobacco, nutmeg, black currants, cherry, and hints of date. The palate is equally fresh, with more rich cherry, blueberry, dark chocolate flavors, spice and tobacco that finish with a full smooth lingering finish. This could quite possibly the most delicious 2012 Napa Cabernet that we've featured.
