94 Points, James Suckling
Will age gracefully for another 10-15 years. Definitely cellar worthy.
VINEYARDS
Like many Napa Valley AVAs, Stags Leap District is particularly known for its world class Cabernet Sauvignon. The soil here includes loam and clay sediments from the Napa River and volcanic soil deposits left over from erosion of the Vaca Mountains. Each block was carefully planted for optimal sun exposure and produce some of the finest fruit in the valley.
WINEMAKING NOTES
Maintained moderate temperature during fermentation until dry, then basket pressed into 40% new oak for 18 months.
VINTAGE
Yields were cut short in 2020, particularly for red wines, as the intensely dry, low-yielding growing season helped deliver some intensely concentrated grapes, many were able to produce some deeply impressive wines capable of long-term cellaring.

Exceptional!
Violet black in color with aromas of rich fruity dark berries, honeycomb, vanilla, and hints of forest floor join together with bold flavors of black cherry, and spiced nut. Balanced oak, layered palette, leaving you with a enjoyable persistent finish.
Big & Jammy!
Picked from old vines in Chiles Valley. Deep Blackberry, plum, smoky blueberry, roasted fig, dried dark flowers, cigar box, spice, black pepper, hints of vanilla, nicely integrated oak. WOW!
Rich & Juicy!
Gorgeous ruby color, with aromas of black cherry and plum, enhanced by violet and black licorice. There is juicy intense fruitiness on the smooth palette with roasted pepper and baking spice from French oak. The soft tannins are balanced with bright acidity and a long finish.
Rich & Tropical...
Notes of tropical and ripe stone fruits, with aromas of fig, golden apple and hints of butterscotch, integrated with the richer aromas of light caramel, truffle and toasted vanilla from the oak aging. The palate and texture is rich, full-bodied and creamy, while maintaining a balanced vibrancy and finish.
